Pressman

The Bulletin has an immediate opening for a full-time Pressman. Prior web press printing experience would be beneficial, but is not required. We will train as needed on our apprenticeship program. For an entry level person, this job would start learning all aspects of the newspaper printing press. This would involve moving newsprint rolls around and loading them into the printing press. As your training progresses, you will work your way up to being able to print the daily newspaper and other newspaper style products. The work schedule will consist of 5 days at 8 hours per day from 5:30 PM to approximately 2:00 AM. You will have 2 days off in a row, unless extra work in required. Hourly wage ranges from $14.00 and up, DOE.

The right person for the job must be able to move and lift 50 lbs. The position also requires the use of a tape measure, reaching, standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, walking and climbing stairs. Learning and using proper safety practices will be required.
